Dear Why Team member,
Last week, I invited you to join Matt Walker - the only man in whose hands I have literally put my life on numerous occasions - on a zoom to learn about Adventure’s Blueprint. I hope that you’ll be able to join us this Thursday. You may use code WHYTEAM to register for free if you haven’t already. https://lu.ma/oyketghg
And what is life without adventure?
Does the unknown future frighten you or excite you? Certainty brings Mediocrity,
Uncertainty brings Possibility.
Matt Walker is the one who provided me with this powerful insight for life:
“Uncertainty Brings Possibility”
Wow! Sit on that thought a bit.
All our human fears are related to the uncertainty of tomorrow. Getting comfortable with, or better yet, excited about, the unknown and the possibilities it affords us must be one of the most exciting and fulfilling ways to live our lives. Living afraid of death can cause us to be more preoccupied with surviving than thriving.
Would you rather die living or live dying?
Ever wonder why people choose to adventure up the side of a mountain - again and again? Do you discount it as just thrill seeking? How could you truly know why if you haven't tried it yourself? Does fear keep you in your seat? Is our purpose found in just staying alive, seeking comfort for its own sake?
What mountains are in front of you - inviting you to climb?
Matt took me up my first rock face 8 years ago !!!!! and a glacier, Mt. Baker, the following year - a much different climb, as you can imagine. What is there to be learned in adventure? Matt knows and has found his life purpose in sharing it.
Do you see your life as a great adventure? Is not every day an adventure into the unknown? What have you learned so far? Are you more fearless - having less fear for the unknown? Or are you more fearful - full of fear for what might happen?
Ask why? Inquire into those thoughts that keep you from being truly excited about what the future will bring and what you will bring to the future.
Are you not having fun, truly having a blast, grateful for just waking up? How many lives ended today unexpectedly? What would they give to have lived more fully? Just waking up should bring us so much gratitude as to bring us to our knees; now that's the way to start a day.
Every gift in our life is worthless if we don't awake to appreciate it.
Ever think about that?
Today, you get to have another day with your loved ones, another day connecting with your friends and all that life has to offer the one who most appreciates it.
If you are not coming from a place of joy and gratitude, having fun no matter what you are doing, your full capability is not coming to bear. That which we do with great joy brings forth our greatest capabilities and can provide us with an outstanding day well lived, a day filled with and bringing forth possibilities beyond understanding.
This is my wish for you:
That today, this week, and for the rest of your life, that each new day may be the Best Day in your life.
Love the unknown for all the possibilities it can bring for an unimaginable life.
As my Mother said in the last days of her physical life, "Awe Honey, you just want to hold onto the happiness you have known, there is so much happiness you don't know that is headed your way..."
Hope!
That is what my mother knew I needed most in those final days of her life, she gave me hope yet again, as she habitually did throughout my life - and it was with her own hope that she passed on peacefully with an excitement for what was beyond physical life itself.
Fear not - even death - for that is truly living.
Get excited about the unknown!
On the other side of your fears and anxieties, your possibilities are waiting for you.
And I hope you’ll be able to join Matt’s Zoom this Thursday. You may use code WHYTEAM to register for free. https://lu.ma/oyketghg
Make it a great week!
